**So it's now wrong to pay homage to black people you admire if you aren't black? That's way more racist than the costume!

**So her favorite character is African-American and she wanted to dress up as her fave character. It's one thing to dress up as a black person to make fun of them, but she wasn't making fun of them nor was she blurting out racial slurs. I don't think there was anything to apologize for.

**It would have only been "offensive" if she had literally used black make up and perhaps made the lips comically huge. This is someone trying to look like an actual character and carefully using a similar tone of makeup.Relax people.

**I'm so happy of all of the artificial "outrage" that gets drummed up anytime a white person sneezes wrong. Nobody shed a tear whenever Dave Chappelle went "white face" several times on his show playing a white news reporter that mocked the the way white supposedly people talk and act! Where was the outrage then? Where were all of the demands for apologies?

**Think that she had to apologize is ludicrious. Black people make fun of white people all the time. Total agreement about the White Chicks comment. Nobody was in an uproar bout it....

**I'm an African American, and, to be honest, I DO NOT find this insulting in anyway. The media is too sensitive. What she did was wear a Halloween costume to pay homage to her favorite actress from the show. It's not a racial thing, and she SHOULDN'T have to apologize for the Halloween costume. Furthermore, if any Black individuals are offended by her costume, I recommend they search Shawn and Marlon Wayne's 2004 movie, White Chicks: It portrayed all the stereotypical aspects of Caucasian women. Therefore, Ms. Hough, your apology is denied because you have no reason to apologize since you clearly did nothing wrong.

**Really people, she was dressing up a part so she wanted to fully dress the part, why in the world are people so easily offended these days, if a black person painted themselves as a white person, who cares or any race for that matter, it's just people trying to have fun, she was in no way trying to offend anyone or make fun of their race. Get over it, and as they say "get your panties out of a wad"

**Jesus H. Christ! DON'T APOLOGIZE! It was a HALLOWEEN COSTUME for cryin out loud?!! Why has this country become so friggin sensitive and PC about everything?!! What...are we gonna hear friggin advocates for vampires protesting people mocking them by painting their faces white? There ARE people who think they are vampires, BTW, so don't anybody give me that "well...this is real" #$%$. Just ONCE I would LOVE to hear somebody who has been called out by the "can't say anything about the underdog" media say "YEAH! I did it! What's the problem?! Grow up and get over yourselves!"

**Why is this a problem? She went dressed as a character from a tv show....I don't get the backlash. She wasn't doing it Al Jolson style, so let it go. People dress up in all sorts of costumes for Halloween, what's the problem? Sometimes we fight the wrong battles.
